Hans Jochem Bakker (1948) is a self-taught artist from an old family of artists. Inspired by artists such as Salvador Dalí, Miró and Picasso, he has adopted parts of their southern temperament in his motifs, for example, the special interest in birds, horses and women.

As spontaneous as possible, honest and straight from the heart of the passionate artist. Everything moves and no rounded story exists. This is the main reason for the artist to continue painting.

In addition to greater freedom and thus the ability to respond immediately to what is happening, there is also room for attention to composition, structure and material. This completes the painting process and becomes a unity of form, color and movement.
